last monday, Philly treated us out to breakfast! He asked me where I wanted to go, and i said, "somewhere new". He thought it might be a good idea to drive down Old town Gilbert. We happened to drive near a place called Liberty Market. I was pretty excited to see it, because I had been wanting to try it! it was a cool little place, and had a very industrial feel to it. Whenever we go to a place like that, Phil and I pick apart the place, and describe what we like about it, and what details we would love to incorporate into our house. so fun! We loved the exposed beams and the duct work showing, which phil loves because it is that much easier to get to it (hes an a/c guy).

the food was good, and Kai ate his whole dish! 2 eggs, 2 bacon, and a pancake. I had the roasted veggie omelet with potatoes, and phil had the western omelet. cant wait to go back! We're also excited about going to the local Gilbert farmers market held on saturday mornings all year long! we're esp. looking forward to the food trucks?, and free range meats!

After Liberty Market, we went to Ikea so I could pick up some white tumblers. I spotted that they had money trees! I have been wanting one for over a year now. I didnt want to spend the $25 though..im decently tight with our money. So, philly said he would buy it for me using his scrap funds! it was just so sweet! After that, we went to Sears, so he could buy some fun tools, then after that, we went to costco. by the time we got home, I was exhausted! Then yesterday, I went with my bestie to Cafe Rio, and had their salad with no meat, just beans and rice. I bought one to take to philly, he happened to have an early day! nice surprise. Then last night for dinner, i made a nice dinner, while he went to costco to pick up some salmon and a few other things. He came back with everything including a bouquet of flowers! HE said he saw them, thought they were pretty, and thought of me! they are beautiful!! kai keeps saying " those are pretty flowers mom, that was so nice of daddy!" Philly has always been a very sweet guy. But lately, he has been extra sweet, and has really showed me in more ways than one, how much he appreciates me.i like how it works, you trade kindness. Phil lately has been working so much, and the silver lining is, im able to put away a ton of money! we have always worked well together, but lately, things seem to have gotten oiled up, and are working really smoothly! we are loving life, and it shows in the things we do for each other. Five years of marriage, and while its not perfect ( as he is still man, and i am still woman haha), it is in our eyes, pretty idyllic for the most part. we couldnt ask for better! <3 -m
